Movement Classes

My movement classes are designed to help you build a deeper connection to yourself while you gain strength, mobility and have fun moving. During class you can explore and reconnect with movements like: crawling, balance work, jumping, running, hanging, climbing, throwing, catching, lifting and carrying. The format of the classes change constantly so that no two are alike. This helps to create a wider range of motion in your body while keeping boredom at bay.

 The benefits of natural/functional movement classes include:

    •    Reduces wear and tear on the joints
    •    Improves cardiovascular health
    •    Increases stability and flexibility
    •    Builds bone density
    •    Boosts metabolism
    •    Strengthens fascia (connective tissues)
    •    Strengthens the pelvic floor
    •    Improves cognitive skills and proprioception
    •    Lowers stress levels and creates a strong sense of well being

It’s important to me that my classes are accessible. If you are interested in a class but can not afford the cost please reach out to me to find out more information on sliding scale and scholarships. Private Training $30 for an hour session

These sessions are tailored to the individual. Please reach out to schedule a 15 minute phone call or Zoom chat to learn more and see if we would be a good fit to work together.

Private Training for the Pregnant/Postpartum Body $30 for an hour session

These hour-long sessions are designed for the pregnant and postpartum body. The prenatal sessions focus on special exercises, movements and breath work that help to support the expectant person’s body and prepare them for labor. Individuals will learn positions and movements that will create a more comfortable pregnancy, increase the strength and mobility needed for the labor process, and help and recovery after birth. After every session I send an email of tips and suggestions to keep in mind.

Private training after a person has given birth focuses on preventing and/or healing diastasis recti, toning the pelvic floor and building strength in the glutes and core. The breath work and body awareness exercises focus on releasing muscle tension built up from taking care of the baby. Emails are also included for postpartum sessions.

Due to Covid classes are currently online through Zoom or in person (for Chicagoland people) at a park close to your home or at your home with masks. I am fully vaccinated, boosted and take rapid tests regularly.
